1. Solve for y
5x%2B4y%3C12
4y%3C-5x%2B12
y%3C-%285%2F4%29x%2B3
2. Graph the inequality as the equation, use = sign


first find two points that lie on a line:
let's x=0 and find y
5x%2B4y=12
5%2A0%2B4y=12
4y=12
y=3.......so, first point is (0,3

now let's y=0 and find x
5x%2B4y=12
5x%2B4%2A0=12
5x=12
x=12%2F5
x=2.4.......so, second point is (2.4,0
now graph it, plot a points and draw a line through:



4. Draw the line dashed because you have the inequality <

5. Pick a point not on the line to use as a test+point.
The point (0,0) is a good test and it is not on
the line.
