You can put this solution on YOUR website! Graph the inequality
3x + y less than or equal to 5
------------------
y<=-3x+5
Graph the EQUALITY: y=-3x+5
You need two points:
If x=0, y=5, giving you point (0,5)
If x=1, y=2, giving you point (1,2)
Plot those two points and draw a line thru them.
------------------
Graph the INEQUALITY: y<-3x+5
Pick a test point on either side of the line you graphed
to see if the side the point is on is the graph of the inequality.
Pick (0,0)
Substitute that into y<-3x+5
You get 0<0+5
That is true; so the side of the EQUALITY line that contains
(0,0) is the graph of the INEQUALITY.
