Question 665930: Determine graphically the x-value when y=-6 in the given equation.
-x+2y=-8
I got the answer x=-4. My assignment is asking for 2 lines, however. It is a multiple choice question.
a.)One answer has one horizontal line across -6, and a line with the points and (2,-3)and intersecting with the horizontal line at (-4,-6)
b.) Has a vertical line at -6 and another line at (0,4) with a intersection with the vertical at (-6,7)
c.) a horizontal line at-6 with another line intersecting with the horizontal line at (4,-6) and another point at -4,-2)
d.) a vertical line at -6 with another line intersecting with the horizontal line at (-6,7) and another point at (0,-4)
I hope I didn't make the question harder than it should be, with the choices. I just don't understand how to graph this. Thanks so much in advance for the help!
