Hi,
The perimeter of a triangle with 2 equal sides is 46 cm.
If its base were lengthened by 4 cm and each leg were shortened by 7 cm, all 3 sides would be equal.
Let b and s represent the length of the base and each side respectively.
Question states***
b + 4 = s - 7 or s = (b + 11)
b + 2s = 46cm
b + 2(b+11) = 46
3b = 24
b = 8
and..
CHECKING our Answer*** s = 19
8+%2B+2%2A19+=+46
