You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y+=+mx%2Bb

4+=+%28-4%2F7%29%285%29%2Bb

4+=+-20%2F7%2Bb

4%2B20%2F7+=+b

48%2F7+=+b

b+=+48%2F7

So the equation of the line is y+=+%28-4%2F7%29x%2B48%2F7

Hi,
Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
m = -4/7 (5,4)
y = (-4/7)x + b
4 = (-4/7)5 + b
48/7 = b
y = (-4/7)x + 48/7 or 4x+7y = 48
