1) 5x+7=3x-5
2)7+3x=5x-5
3)2.5x-8=5x+12

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1) 5x+7=3x-5
Subtract 3x from both sides to get:
Subtract 7 from both sides to get:
2x=-12
x=-6
-----------------
2)7+3x=5x-5
Subtract 3x from each side:
Add 5 to both sides:
2x=12
x=6
---------------------------
3)2.5x-8=5x+12
Subtract 2.5x from both sides:
Subtract 12 from both sides:
2.5x=-20
Divide by 2.5 to get:
x=-20
