I don't think you are doing anything wrong. Maybe you just don't have enough points. Here is what I get for the graph, using the "graphing calculator" from algebra.com: graph%28300%2C300%2C-6%2C6%2C+-12%2C12%2C+x%5E3-7x+%29+
