Question 534038: Find the slope, if it is defined, of each line. If slope is undefined, state this.
The line passes through each of these points (6,1)(4,2)(2,3)(0,4)(-2,5)(-4,6)
I'm new to graphing. Please help me to solve. Must show work.
If possible, need answer before 8p.m.PST 11/18/11 Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the slope, if it is defined, of each line. If slope is undefined, state this.
The line passes through each of these points (6,1)(4,2)(2,3)(0,4)(-2,5)(-4,6)
---------------------
It's a straight line, so you need 2 points. Pick 2 of them.
(6,1) & (4,2) will do.
slope m = diffy/diffx = (1-2)/6-4)
m = -1/2
-------------
All 6 of these points are colinear, on the same line, so any 2 points will work.
You can take my word for that, or confirm it.
