Question 481419: Problem says this:
The Wildlife Federation surveyed 220 San Diego residents. The results are as follows:
32 had a membership to the Birch Aquarium
57 had a membership to the San Diego Zoo
21 had both
Answer the following questions:
i. How many had only a zoo membership?
ii. How many had only an aquarium membership?
iii. How many belonged to either one or the other or both?
iv. How many belonged to neither?
In addition to answering the questions, it says to construct a Venn Diagram. How Do I make a Venn Diagram? Could someone show me how this should look?
Also, explain to me how you arrived at your answers for the Venn Diagram? Thank you so much.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
57 were Zoo members
but 21 were also Aquarium members
So Only Zoo members = 57-21=36
similarly 32-12 = 11 were members of Aquarium only
11+36+21 = 68 belonged to either one of them or both.
21 belonged to both
Total surveyed = 220 -(11+21+36)
=152 belonged to neither
Circle Z = set of Zoo members
Circle A = set of all aquarium members
Rectangle U = Universal set
