Question 48124: I cannot seem to figure out how would i graph a line that has a slope of -2 and a y intercept of 0,0.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Start by locating the y-intercept (0, 0) on the graph. Plot point (0, 0)
.
The slope tells you the slant of the line.
So, since the slope (m) = -2, start at point (0, 0) and move down (-2) spaces and move across (+1) space.
Plot this point (1, -2).
.
From (1, -2), move down (-2) spaces and move across (+1)spaces.
Plot this second point (2, -4).
.
Return to (0,0).
From point (0, 0) move up (+2) spaces and move across (-1) space.
Plot this point (-1, 2).
From (-1, 2) move up (+2) spaces and move across (-1) space.
Plot this point (-2, 4).
.
Connect all of the dots. A straight line should have emerged.
Check the graph below.
