Question 481024: I am needing some assistance, please. If you can help, I will be grateful. Thank you! Also, could you kind of break it down so that I can get a better understanding of it? Unfortunately, I'm confused.
The problem says:
Determine the following: A ∪ B′
Let
U = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8}
A = {1, 2, 4, 5, 8}
B = {2, 3, 4, 6}

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
everything what is in U = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8} and NOT in B = {2, 3, 4, 6} will be in B'
so,
B' = {1,5,7,8}...
and, A ∪ B′ ={1, 2, 4, 5, 8} ∪ {1,5,7,8}= {1, 2, 4,5,7,8}
