This is a parabola that opens upward, and the vertex (minimum point) will be at x=%28-b%29%2F%282a%29. In this case, vertex is at x=+%288%29%2F%282%29=4.

If x = 4, then y = 4^2 - 8*4 +22 = 16 - 32 +22=6.

I get a vertex of (4, 6) . Check it out with the graph:
