You have to graph the boundary in order to graph an inequality.
Graph y = x+1 as a dashed line. It is the boundary
for y < x+1
Then shade the half-plane BELOW the boundary because you want
the graph of y BELOW x=1.

1st graph the boundary: y = (-3/4)x + 3
