Hi,
f(x)= (x+1)^2-9
given in vertex form of a parabola, y=a%28x-h%29%5E2+%2Bk where(h,k) is the vertex
vertex is Pt(-1,-9)
x- intercepts for which f(x) = 0
0 = (x+1)^2-9
9 = (x+1)^2
± 3 = x+1 x = (3-1)= 2 or x = (-36-1)= -4
x- intercepts: Pt(-4,0) and Pt(-2,0)
