q - 1 1/3 > -2 1/2 Found 2 solutions by fractalier, stanbon:Answer by fractalier(6550) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Okay, from
q - 1 1/3 > -2 1/2
let's add 1 1/3 to both side and get
q > -2 1/2 + 1 1/3
rearranging we have
q > 1 1/3 - 2 1/2
There are a few ways to do this...let's change everything to sixths (the LCD)...
q > 4/3 - 5/2
q > 8/6 - 15/6
q > -7/6
q > -1 1/6
Open point at -1 1/6 and graph all points to the right...
You can put this solution on YOUR website! q - 1 1/3 > -2 1/2
--------
q-4/3 > -5/2
---
q > (4/3)-(5/2)
q > (8-15)/6
q > -7/6
