Question 32959: Hi can you please help me?
How do you find the equation of a line that is graphed?
For example the problem that I have is graphed but it only shows one point of ordered pairs which is (3,1) The answer is supposed to be put in standard form but I don't know how to find the slope with only one shown set of ordered pairs.
Thank you,
Sasha

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You're right on track- first you need to find the slope of the line or find another point to get the equation. Are there any intercepts you can find- where it crosses the x or y axis? If so, you can use that point to find the slope. Then, either use slope intercept form or point slope to find the equation.
Slope intercept: y=mx + b
Point slope: (y-y1)/(x-x1)=m
