Question 327501: i am lost. i am trying to graph an parabola. i know hot to find the vertex. i can't figure out how to find the max and min to complete the graph. it is fx=(x^2-8x+19). The vertex is (4,3). Help!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
THe value at the vertex is the min. or max. value of the function.
If the coefficient of the x%5E2 term is positive (parabola opens upwards), the y value at the vertex is a minimum.
If the coefficient of the x%5E2 term is negative (parabola opens downwards), the y value at the vertex is a maximum.
