Question 327501: i am lost. i am trying to graph an parabola. i know hot to find the vertex. i can't figure out how to find the max and min to complete the graph. it is fx=(x^2-8x+19). The vertex is (4,3). Help! Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! THe value at the vertex is the min. or max. value of the function.
If the coefficient of the term is positive (parabola opens upwards), the y value at the vertex is a minimum.
If the coefficient of the term is negative (parabola opens downwards), the y value at the vertex is a maximum.
