Question 31261: Graphing Systems of Linear Inequalities
i have a question...i am graphing a system of linear equalities, i am supposed to graph the lines y>=0 and x>=0, i know that these line are perfectly verticle and perfectly horizontal. I just dont know how to figure out which side to shade on

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
draw the line y=0... the x-axis, basically. OK, so where is y bigger than zero? Above that line or below it? Now, you want the region y>0 so i would shade the region you DON'T want and the "white, clear" region is the region to do want.

Likewise, x=0 is the vertical line, the y-axis. So where is x greater than zero? To the left or the right of that line? Again shade the region you DO NOT want... that is my approach.

Hope this helps
