Question 305984: Ok guys these graphs are really getting to me :(
My new question today is Graph the equation -2.2x+3.9y=-7.8 and -2.7x + 0.9y =7.3
I NEED TO FIND THEIR EXACT INTERSECTION!
NO matter how many times I try and answer it myself it is wrong!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
your looking for the 1 point where the intersection is so the x and the y have to be the same for both equations. so solve for x and then y either by substitution or elimination.
-2.2x%2B3.9y=-7.8multiply by 0.9
-2.7x%2B0.9y=7.3multiply by 3.9
-1.98x%2B3.51y=-7.02
-10.53x%2B3.51y=28.47subtract these 2 equations
8.55x=-35.49
x=4.1509
-2.2x%2B3.9y=-7.8
-2.2%284.1509%29%2B3.9y=-7.8
-9.1319%2B3.9y=-7.8
3.9y=1.3319
y=0.3415
(4.1509, 0.3415)
