Question 26644: I am helping my son prepare for his algebra exam and have a couple of questions. 1) What is the difference between undefined slope and a slope of 0? 2) What is the range of the function y = -2X(Squared) + x when the domain is {1, 3, 5,}? I believe the answer to the second question is a simple as inserting the domain number for x and coming up with an answer of {-1, -15, and -45} but I am not sure.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
hello,

1. Undefined means infinite ie a vertical line.
A line with zero gradient is a flat, horizontal line.

2. You are indeed correct in your understanding and your calculations.
