You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the < and > confuse you just put = in till you need them which is at the very end.
Can either of you graph y=2x+1?
let x=0 and find y
that is a sneaky one because the answer is in the equation. It is 1

(0,1)
now let y=0 and find x
0=2x+1
-1=2x
-1/2=x
(-1/2,0)
We only two points to plot(graph a line. Sometimes teachers want more points in case you mess one or two. You know you messed it up if the line doesn't go through all the points.
Now for the < .
The solution is everything under the line but not including the line.
Your son was probably told to either use a dotted line for included or solid line for included or vice versa.
