x=10 and y=-7 are two different equations. x=10 is a verticle line that passes through the x axis at 10. y=-7 is a horizontal line at passes through the y axis at -7. x=10 will have only one value for x but infinitely many values for y. y=-7 has only one value for y but infinitely many values for x.
