You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x - 5y = 10
We want this in the slope intercept form y = mx + b
2x - 5y = 10
-5y = 10 - 2x
We need y to be positive, multiply both sides by -1
5y = 2x - 10
Divide both sides by 5
y = 2%2F5x - 10%2F5
y = .4x - 2
;
Two points:
x = -5
y = .4(-5) - 2
y = -2 - 2
y = -4
and
x = +5
y = .4(5) - 2
y = +2 - 2
y = 0
;
Plot and join these two points -5,-4 and +5,0
