SOLUTION: Can someone help me solve for x? (2x + 3y) + 3x = -3(y-4x) this is as far as I got 2x + 3y + 3x = -3y + 12x 5x + 3y = -3y + 12x 3y + 3y = 12x - 5x 6y = 7x

Question 22622: Can someone help me solve for x?
(2x + 3y) + 3x = -3(y-4x) this is as far as I got
2x + 3y + 3x = -3y + 12x
5x + 3y = -3y + 12x
3y + 3y = 12x - 5x
6y = 7x

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You almost got it!! Just divide both sides of the equation by the coefficient of x:

6y=7x so divide both sides by 7:
%286y%29%2F7=+%287x%29%2F7
%286y%29%2F7=+x or x=+%286%2F7%29%2Ay
