5x-y=10
5x+6y= -25

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve the equation with graphing then classify

5x-y=10
5x+6y= -25

1. Graphing the two leads to the following picture:

graph%28600%2C600%2C+-5%2C+5%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+5x-10%2C+-5x%2F6-25%2F6%29

2. ANSWER: Based on the graph, the two lines intersect at point (1,-5) or x=1 and y=-5.

Check if the point (1,-5) satisfies the equations:

5x-y=10 so 5*1-(-5) then 5+5=10 which is a true statement.

5x+6y= -25 so then 5*1+6*(-5)=5-30=-25 which is a true statement.

So the intersection point (1,-5) is a solution to the system of equations.

I hope the above steps and explanation were helpful.
