What is a line parallel to 4x-2y=d?
The slope, m, of the line is +2.
All lines with a slope of +2 will be parallel. There are an infinite number of them.
y = 2x + b is parallel - b can be any value.
----------------
What is a line perpendicular to the like y=7?
y = 7 is a line parallel to the x-axis. All lines parallel to the y-axis will be perpendicular to it.
y = k, where k is any value.
--------------
What is the slope of the line x=1/2?
This is a vertical line, parallel to the y-axis. Its slope is infinite, or undefined.
-------------
What is the slope of the line y= 4x-13 over 7
If it's (4x-13)/7, the slope is 4/7.
If it's 4x - (13/7), the slope is 4.

What is a line parallel to 4x-2y=d?
To solve this question, it is easiest to get the equation into y-intercept form. (y=mx%2Bb)
First move the 4x to the other side of the equation by subtracting it from both sides. This yields -2y=-4x%2Bd.
Then divide both sides by -2 to get y=2x-d%2F2.
Since m is our slope which equals 2, any line that has a slope of 2 would be parallel to the line in question. Thus the -d%2F2 is totally irrelevant to our solution.
Some examples would be y=2x%2B4, y=2x-3, y=2x%2B300. As long as m=2 the last number, or b our y-intercept, can be any number.
What is a line perpendicular to the like y=7?
y=7 is a horizontal line crossing the y-axis at 7. A perpendicular line would be any line that is vertical. Examples would be x=20, x=1, x=5. Any x= line is going to be vertical, and therefore perpendicular to a horizontal line, so x can equal any number.
What is the slope of the line x=1/2?
An x= line is vertical. The slope of any vertical line is always going to be undefined.
What is the slope of the line y=%284x-13%29%2F7?
This equation is already in slope-intercept form, y=mx+b. Therefore we only bneed to determine what m, or our slope is. Since the entire equation is divided by 7, we can rewrite this as y=%284%2F7%29x-%2813%2F7%29. From here we can see that the slope, which is equal to m, is 4%2F7.
