You can put this solution on YOUR website! Wowwww. You have included a LOT of questions. Are you generally confused or (and this next question is not an accusation) or are you trying to get your homework done for you?
If you are confused, why don't you explain what gives you trouble. If you are trying to get your homework done for you - that's not what this site is about, I think. I think people here want to share their info for how to do math so that you can do homework on your own.
Having said that, I will tell you the following facts and I hope they are helpful to you in doing this homework/assignment......
When you have an equation of a line in the slope intercept form of a line, that equation is y = mx + b. In this equation, "m" represents the slope and "b" is the y intercept. When you want to graph a line, using this equation, you find your y intercept and then use the slope to plot your 2nd line. Your slope, you see is which means that from your y intercept you either "RISE" up or down from that point, and then "RUN" either left or right on the graph (depending on whether you have positive or negative numbers).
OHhh now that we have mentioned the "y" intercept I can tell you these facts:
To find the y intercept, solve for y by making x = 0.
To find the x intercept, solve for x by making y = 0.
Now sometimes, you will get an equation of a line where x will equal a number. Any time you have x = some number, then you will have a vertical line. In this case, the slope is undefined. Any time you have y = some number, then you will have a horizontal line, and the slope will equal 0.
This info will be useful in solving many of your questions. I hope this is helpful to you but I think any tutor here can be more helpful if you can explain what gives you trouble or what makes you confused. Please re post and I'm sure you can get lots of help.
Good luck. :-)
