Until you just know what the slope of a line like x=2 is, you need a way to figure it out. Here are two ways:
  1. Use the slope formula
    1. Find the coordinates of two points on the line. Since the equation is x=2 it says that all the x-coordinates must be 2 and the y-coordinates, since y is missing, can be any number. So just pick two numbers at random for the y-coordinates. Let's say 10 and -3. So our points are (2, 10) and (2, -3).
    2. Use the slope formula: m+=+%28y%5B2%5D+-+y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D+-+x%5B1%5D%29 on the two points. Substituting our coordinates into this formula we get:
      m+=+%28-3+-+10%29%2F%282+-+2%29
      Simplifying we get
      m+=+%28-13%29%2F0
      But dividing by zero is undefined!! So the slope is undefined.
  2. Use the Slope-intercept form: y = mx + b. Solve the equation for y and the get the slope from the coefficient of x. But your equation has no y. It is impossible to put an equation without a y into Slope-intercept form. So the slope is undefined.
