Question 191170: If g(x) = bx and h(x) = logbx, would the graphs of these functions intersect if b = 1? If so, at what ordered pair?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! If g(x) = bx and h(x) = logbx, would the graphs of these functions intersect if b = 1? If so, at what ordered pair?
----------------
Since b = 1, what you have is:
g(x) = x and h(x) = log(x)
-------------
g(x) = x is a straight line thru the Origin with a slope of +1 (45 degrees up to the right).
h(x) crosses the x-axis at (1,0 and does not intersect g(x).
--------------
In other words, log(x) = x has no solution.

You can see these graphically if you dl the (free) software at
