: Evaluate the piecewise function for x=0 and x=6.
f(x)={18, if x is less than 0
{7, if 0 is less than or equal to x is less than 6
{-3, if x is greater than or equal to 6
I worked it out to: when x=0, f(x)= -6 so f(0)= -6,
when x=6, f(x)= -3, so f(6)= -3
Am I correct?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The piecewise function

really means that

f%28x%29=18 ONLY when x%3C0, or f%28x%29=7 ONLY when 0%3C=x%3C6, or f%28x%29=-3 ONLY when x%3E=6

Since x=0 is in the interval 0%3C=x%3C6, this means that f%280%29=7 (as this function corresponds with this interval).

Also, because x=6 is in the interval x%3E=6 (which is the third interval), this means that f%286%29=-3 since this is the corresponding function to the given interval.
