Draw a number line. Draw a little circle at the 3 point. Make a heavy line on your number line starting at your little circle and continuing as far as you can to the right, putting an arrow at the end to indicate that the line goes on forever.

Do the same thing except your little circle is at -2 and the heavy line goes to the left.
