f(x)=(x+3)2(x-5)6
Step 1: set f(x) to zero.
:: f(x)=(x+3)2(x-5)6=0
Note: if ab=0, then a=0 or b=0
Step 2: Solve (x+3)2=0
:: (x+3)2=0
:: x+3=0
:: x=-3
Step 3: Solve (x-5)6
:: (x-5)6=0
:: x-5=0
:: x=5
The roots are -3 of multiplicity 2 and 5 of multiplicity 5.
