You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Divide both sides of the inequality by -9. Remember that very important rule, that when you divide or multiply both sides of an inequality by a NEGATIVE number, you must REVERSE the inequality sign!

-9n+%3E+-36+
%28-9n%29%2F%28-9%29+%3C+%28-36%29%2F%28-9%29+
n%3C+4

R^2

+-9n+%3E+-36+

To solve this, divide both sides by -9:
+%28-9n%29%2F-9+%3C+%28-36%29+%2F+-9+
+n+%3C+4+
IMPORTANT!!! Note that the inequality changed from '>' to '<'. Any time you multiply or divide an inequality by a negative number, the direction flips. Just something to remember.

To graph it, draw a number line with an open circle around 4 and an arrow pointing to the left of it (open circle since it's '<' and not '<=').

Hope this helps. ~ Joe
