Question 177498: Hi so I can't tell the difference between discrete graphs and continuous graphs. I mean, when to connect the dots in a graph. Like for example, graph the relation y=2x+12 for a membership fee of $12 for a flat fee plus $2 per visit. Graph the relation for 0-10 visits. Would this be a discrete or continuous graph? On my test, I wrote that it was discrete. Is this correct? Answer by gonzo(654) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! i would say discrete.
your x value is numbers of people which can be counted as distinct units.
they cannot be divided into subunits, such as time which would be continuous because you can have values in between the units on a continuous spectrum.
