SOLUTION: Write the equation of the line passing through (-4,-2) and (-2,-6)
This is what I did - m = -2/-4 (-2 over -4) - -6/-2 (-6 over -2) gives me -2/1 (-2 over 1) simplified it's -2.

Question 161918: Write the equation of the line passing through (-4,-2) and (-2,-6)
This is what I did - m = -2/-4 (-2 over -4) - -6/-2 (-6 over -2) gives me -2/1 (-2 over 1) simplified it's -2. So m = -2
Then I used y = mx + b and plugged in the info as follows:
-4 = -2(-4) + b
-4 = 8 + b
-8 -8
----------
4 = b
So that would give me the answer of y = -2x + 4.
