Question 159302: I am very lost in my and need some major help. I am taking Math 116 and working on graphing and inequalities. The question is this:
I need to tryp and for the given equation is y=-2/3x-12 using (-4, -10)and I get lost.
Here is what I have so far:
y=-2/3x-12
y=-2/3(-4)-12
y=8/3-12
y=-4
y=-2/3x-12
-10 = -2/3x-12
-10+12=-2/3x-12+12
2=x
so would I plot it at (2,-4)?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I dont understand what tryp is. If you plot the line y+=+-2x%2F3+-12 and the point (-4,10), you will find the point is below the line
graph+%28400%2C400%2C+-20%2C10%2C-20%2C10%2C+-2x%2F3+-+12%29
If you plug in x =-4, you get y = 8/3 - 12 = -28/3 = -9.333. Which is above the point (-4-10)
