Question 144937: Could you please help me with a couple of problems?These are systems of equations graphing method:
1) x - y = 1 3x + y = 7
2) 2x - y = 1 3y = 6x - 3
The last person gave me the answer,which was great,but they didn't show me how they got them.If you could please do that, I would appreciate it a lot.
Thank you in advance for all your time and help. Elle J

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1) x-y=1
-Y=-X+1
Y=X-1 (RED LINE)
3x+y=7
Y=-3X+7 (GREEN LINE)
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, of TWO functions x -1 and -3x +7).
ANSWER (2,1)
2) 2x-y=1
-y=-2x+1
y=2x-1 (red line)
3y=6x-3
y=6x/3-3/3
y=2x-1 (green line)
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, of TWO functions 2x -1 and 2x -1).
NO UNIQUE SOLUTION AS THESE 2 EQUATIONS ARE EQUAL WITH 2 UNKNOWS.
