the length of the side parallel to the x-axis is the difference in the x's when the y is constant
__ similarly with the side parallel to the y-axis

x-length __ -0.1-(-7.9) __ 7.8

y-length __ 6.8-(-3.4) __ 10.2

area is 7.8*10.2 __ 79.56
