the slope-intercept form of a linear eqation is y=mx+b; m is the slope, b is the y-intercept

subtracting 2x+3 __ -y=-2x-3 __ multiplying by -1 __ y=2x+3

so m=2 and b=3 __ the y-intercept is where the line crosses the y-axis, so x=0
