Question 121534: The graph of ABC has verticles at A(1,3), B(5,8) and C(7,1). Graph each image of ABC for the transformation described. Use arrow notation to show the transformation.
1.) translated left 3 units and up 2 units
Can you tell me where the points would be on the graph after you translate? Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The graph of ABC has verticles at A(1,3), B(5,8) and C(7,1). Graph each image of ABC for the transformation described. Use arrow notation to show the transformation.
1.) translated left 3 units and up 2 units
well since its being shifted left 3 you subtract 3 from all the x values. And since its being shifted up 2 you add 2 to all the y values.
A(1-3,3+2) = A(-2,5)
B(5-3,8+2) = B(2,10)
C(7-3,1+2) = C(4,3)
