You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The national cost C in billions of dollars for dental services can be modeled by the linear equation C(n)=2.85n +30.52 where n is the number of years since 1990.
A)Find and interpret the C-intercept for the line:(0,30.52)
In 1990 the cost was 30.52 billion.
------------------------------
B)Find and interpret the n-intercept for the line
0 = 2.85n+30.52
n = -30.52/2.85 = -10.71
The cost was zero in 1990-10.71= 1979 (rounded-off answer)
--------------------------------
C) Graph the line for n ranging from 0 through 20
graph%28400%2C300%2C-5%2C25%2C-5%2C80%2C2.85x%2B30.52%29
--------------------------
D) If this trend continues, then in what year will the cost of dental services reach 100 billion?
100 = 2.85n+30.52
2.85n = 69.48
n = 24.38
Year = 1990+24.38 = 2015
