Question 1195106: Can I please have help on this problem thank you!
Graphically determine the solution to the systems
1. y=2x^2-12x+19,y=2x-1
2. y=x^2-2x+8,y=x-7
3. y=x^2+5x-7, y=2x^2=2x+3
Found 2 solutions by Alan3354, MathLover1: Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Graphically determine the solution to the systems
1. y=2x^2-12x+19,y=2x-1
----
For the parabola y = 2x^2-12x+19, pick values for x and find y.
Plot the points and draw the curve thru them.
y = 2x-1 is a straight line, so 2 points are needed
The intersections are the solutions.

There are several FREE graph softwares online.

2. y=x^2-2x+8,y=x-7
Same as #1
---------------
3. y=x^2+5x-7, y=2x^2=2x+3
If you meant x^2+5x-7, y=2x^2-2x+3 it's 2 parabolas.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1. ,
as you can see, intersection points are ( , ) and ( , )
so, solution is:
,
,
2. ,
there is no intersection point(s), so there is no real number solution
3. , (assuming you have that)
as you can see, there is no intersection point(s), so there is no real number solution
