C and D represent, for each 10-units-wide interval of input values a continuous function. That is to say, the function graphed in choice C is continuous on any interval . Your function only takes non-negative integers as inputs, so any numbers in between any two consecutive integers would be excluded from the domain of . Answers C and D, having solid lines through the graphed points, imply that there are values between the integer elements on the horizontal axis that produce valid function values. This is not the case. Reject answer C and D.

As for which of the other two answers to select, do a little arithmetic exercise in your head. Take the numbers 10 through 20 and divide each by ten, recording the remainder in each of the 11 cases. Compare your set of possible remainders to the values graphed in the vertical axis of answers A and B. The correct selection should be obvious at this point.
