First step divide both sides of inequality by the number (-2).


    DO NOT FORGET to change the inequality sign " > " to the opposite one " < ", when you divide by negative number !


You will get then


3x - 1 < -10.


3x     < -10 + 1

3x     < -9

 x     <  -3.
