-3 < x < 0 --> -infinity < 1/x < -1/3

0 < x < 5 --> 1/5 < 1/x < infinity

How this problem is formulated,  it is  TERRIBLE.

From the given formulation,  value of  "x"  can not be found.


It is why I said in my previous response

What  can be found  is  the range  where the values of  1%2Fx  vary.

Mathematically correct formulation is  THIS :

    If  x  varies in the domain  -3 < x < 5,  x=/=0,  find the range of the function  1%2Fx.
