Question 1115907: The graph of x-2y=6 is a line L through the points (0,-3) and (6,0). Describe the graph of x-2y is greater than or equal to 6.
The options are:
A) Half-plane containing the line L as its boundary and containing the origin.
B) Half-plane containing the line L as its boundary and not containing the origin.
C) Half-plane not containing the line L as its boundary and containing the origin.
D) Half-plane not containing the line L as its boundary and not containing the origin.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The graph of x-2y=6 is a line L through the points (0,-3) and (6,0). Describe the graph of x-2y is greater than or equal to 6.
x-2y >= 6
Solve for "y"::
2y <= x-6
y <= (x-6)/2
Draw the boundary line thru (0,-2) and (6,0)
Shade the half-plane BELOW the boundary line.
Since the y-intercept is (0,-2) and the half-plane is BELOW the boundary,
the origin will not be in the shaded area.
