6x-4=y
or y=6x-4-> m=6 and b=-4

Put this in the form +y+=+m%2Ax+%2B+b+ where
+m+ = slope
+b+ = y-intercept

subtract +6x+ from both sides
+-y+=+-6x+%2B+4+
Now multiply both sides by +-1+

slope = +6+
