Question 1067276: Solve the systems of linear equations by graphing
y=2x+9
y=6-x
I am lost, how do I cancel one of the variables out with this format. PLease help me graph.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Solve the systems of linear equations by graphing
y=2x+9
y=6-x
=============
y = 2x + 9
They're straight lines.
To graph them you need 2 points.
Pick 2 values for x and find y
eg, x = 0; y = 9 --> the point (0,9)
x = -2, y = 5 --> the point (-2,5)
Plot the 2 points, draw a line thru them.
=====================
Do y = 6-x the same way.
---
The intersection of the 2 lines is the solution of the system.
