Question 1013339: 1.y=-2x -3 i do not get slope intercept

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find some (x,y) pairs, maybe three or four of them. Make a table if that will help. Plot the points and draw the line through them.
By the graph or by the equation, let x=0 and solve for the value of y. Does this look like something from the equation and on the graph?
Using the graph (or the points you found if you want), determine the ratio of the vertical change to the horizontal change. Does this value look like anything you see in the equation?
More detailed discussion will be found in your textbook.
Equation of the form, y=mx+b for a line, shows slope m and vertical axis intercept (0,b).
The example line equation you have is graphed as this:
You should easily be able to find slope, vertical change divided by horizontal change, is , and is the vertical axis intercept (for when x is 0).
