this is a full topic in itself really.

Look at my Lessons on Quadratic equations on this site. Other people have written their versions and the Owner of the Website has written many solvers etc that animate to lead the student through.

Hope these are clear enough for you to try to answer the question yourself. If not, come back --> suggest you just give one of the 2 equations though..more likely to get a response that way.
